1. The service
Folkorama, operated by Folkorama ("we", "us"), provides managed hosting of lore servers: each workspace is a private lore server on its own subdomain with its own disk quota (the "Service"). By creating an account you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, provide a valid email address, and keep your password and API keys confidential. You are responsible for everything done with your credentials. One person or organization per account; workspace members you invite act under your responsibility.
3. Plans and payment
Free and paid plans are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance via Stripe; prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, taking effect at your next renewal. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; by asking us to provision a workspace immediately you acknowledge that you lose that right once the Service is fully delivered, and that any proportional amount for the period used may be due.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service for anything unlawful; to store or distribute malware, content that infringes third-party rights, or content you have no right to possess; to attack, probe or overload our or others' infrastructure; or to resell access without our written consent. We may suspend workspaces that violate this section, with notice where the law allows.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the repositories and other content you push. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, back up, transfer between servers and serve your content back to you and your members. Access control is yours: who can read or push to a repository is decided by the permissions you set.
6. Availability and capacity
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" - no uptime SLA. Disk caps are hard:
writes stop when the quota is full; deletes always work. Upgrades and maintenance may
briefly restart workspaces; we keep these short and infrequent. We are not a backup of
last resort - keep a clone (a lore clone is a full copy).
7. Termination
You may delete workspaces and your account at any time. Paid plans run until the end of the paid period and are not refunded pro rata, except where the law says otherwise. We may terminate for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, or - with reasonable notice - if we discontinue the Service; in that case you get time to clone your repositories. Deletion is irreversible once backups rotate out (about a week).
8. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, lost data, business interruption), and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (intent, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights).
9. Changes and law
We may update these Terms; the current version is always at folkorama.com/terms.html, and material changes are announced by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them. These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy; the courts of Italy have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the courts of your residence.
